Salish-Alderwood Smoked is a Pacific sea salt that undergoes a 48-hour cold smoking process over red Alder wood. There are no artificial colouring or flavouring added, providing a natural and authentic taste. This unique process enhances the flavour of food, whether it's on the BBQ or not. It pairs perfectly with salmon, red meat, creamy pasta dishes, and even baked potatoes.
Smoked salts pair wonderfully with any tomato based dishes such as lasagna, spaghetti and roasted tomatoes. Sprinkle on before, during or after cooking to add a wonderfully smoky flavour to any dish. Combine with with herbs to make a rub or add to sauces. Sprinkle on almonds before roasting for delicious smoked almonds to add to a sophisticated charcuterie board.
